Dr. Dewey’s passion is delivering exceptional dentistry with the latest techniques and equipment, while making a connection with patients and helping them feel comfortable. He is a genuinely friendly person and we are lucky to have him join our team at Summit Dental!
Dr. Dewey has a special interest in preventative care and the connection between oral health and whole body wellness. He focuses on treating patients in the most gentle and efficient way possible.
Growing up in Michigan, Dr. Dewey attended Michigan State University majoring in Biology and continued on to the University of Michigan for Dental School. Following dental school, he joined the United States Navy as a Dental Officer and did advanced training at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (A.E.G.D.) program. Following his training Dr. Dewey became the Dental Officer (O-3) aboard the nuclear powered aircraft carrier U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69).
After his commitment with the United States Navy concluded, Dr. Dewey moved with his family to Portland in 2006. He owned and operated a large dental office in S.E. Portland for nearly a decade until he was forced to sell his office after sustaining injuries from a texting semi truck driver rear ending a vehicle that he was riding in. Fully recovered after almost a year of recovery, Dr. Dewey is thrilled to be back doing what he loves! We are thrilled to have Dr. Dewey join the Summit Dental team!

Dr. Dewey has two children, Nate and Nina, a dog Shadow, two pet chickens and many fish. He spends most weekends birdwatching and hiking trails in the Columbia River Gorge and other places in our beautiful state with his kids and dog. He is a huge sports fan and enjoys watching the Portland Timbers, Blazers, Detroit Lions, and Michigan State Spartans. Please help us to welcome Dr. Dewey to the Summit Dental team!

Dr. David Wilson earned his B.S. degree in 1994 from the University of Oregon. He then earned his D.M.D degree in 1998 from Oregon Health & Sciences University with high honors.
Dr. Wilson then spent two years in Chicago, IL attending a General Practice Residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center. Dr. Wilson focused his hospital-based residency in dental prosthodontics and general anesthesia. Based on this training, Dr. Wilson enjoys restorative dentistry with a focus on crowns, bridges and implant-supported restorations. He also maintains a general anesthesia license and is one of the few general dentists in the State of Oregon qualified to treat patients in the dental setting with the aid of all forms of sedation and anesthesia.
Upon returning to Portland, Dr. Wilson worked as an associate dentist in Lake Oswego, Troutdale and had his own practice in Tigard. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Wilson! He is very excited to be joining our Summit Dental Team!
Dr. Wilson was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2004 and a Mastership in the College of Sedation Dentistry in 2009. He has served on the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry board of directors. He is a past president of the Multnomah Dental Society, and a member of the Oregon Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Wilson currently serves as a governing board member of Albertina Kerr, a local non-profit organization focused on the well-being of children and adults with behavioral and developmental challenges.
Pam has been in the dental business for 37 years and we are fortunate to have such an expert on our team. She started as a dental assistant and eventually moved to the front office. Pam enjoys the daily interactions with all the patients that have also become friends. She has been on 3 different Dental mission trips to Brazil, Indonesia, and Honduras providing dental care for the local people in those communities.
She and her husband have been married for 34 years and have 2 grown sons. They enjoy visiting them and spending time with their grandkids. She even has a third grandbaby on the way! So needless to say, she is on the go often.
Natalie’s soft touch keeps patients in complete comfort while she gives them a clean, healthy smile. She has been with the office for 14 years. Her favorite part about her job is interacting with the patients here at Summit Dental.
Natalie received her B.S. in Dental Hygiene from OHSU.
Natalie likes to spend her free time walking with her friends and reading. She and her husband also enjoy traveling together.
Kathy has been with the office for over 26 years and patients adore her gentle style! In fact, she started seeing some of our patients when they were just kids and now she sees their kids too!
Kathy received a B.S. in Psychology from Pacific University and her B.S. in Dental Hygiene from OHSU.
She and her husband have three grown sons and they love spending time at the beach and walking their dog. Kathy always has a book she is reading and loves to exercise. She also volunteers at St. Vincent Medical Center and works in Beaverton Schools two days a week.
You may recognize our Dental Hygienist, Casey, as she is Dr Layne’s daughter! She grew up working in the office, and is excited to continue to work for Dr. Dewey as part of his exceptional team.
She received her bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University in 2008, and in 2011 she completed her associate degree in Dental Hygiene at Mt. Hood Community College. With a passion for health and a love for people, her goal is to make your appointment both comfortable and pleasant.
Recently, she has been enjoying her role as a mom to daughter Nell and son Levi. She and her husband love to travel, and hope to continue seeing the world as their family grows!
Kelsey grew up in Tualatin. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Pacific Lutheran University in 2007 then went on to pursue Dental Hygiene at Carrington College receiving her associates in Dental Hygiene in 2013. She loves providing quality care and educating patients through connecting with each patient.
Kelsey and her husband enjoy going to Cannon Beach and Central Oregon with their golden retriever, exploring the Portland Metro area, and wine tasting locally. Kelsey loves being creative with projects from crafts or repurposing items for their home in Sherwood, shopping (home decor, shoes and jewelry), and spending time with friends and family.
Maria was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to Oregon 11 years ago with her family. Growing up, she has seen how hard it is for less fortunate families to get dental care which made her have a strong desire to make a difference and be in the dental field.
She graduated from Portland Community College as a Certified Dental Assistant with a degree as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and Expanded Functions Orthodontic Dental Assistant. She loves making patients smile and educating them on how dental health is important.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading books, binge watching movies with her husband, cross
stitching, exploring the Portland Metro Area, and hiking.
Valeria is an Oregon native and currently lives in Hillsboro. She chose to become a dental assistant in order to have a job to support her daughter at a young age. As she learned about and started working in the field, she became intrigued and passionate about all dentistry had to offer.
Valeria received her certification from Concorde Career College as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and Expanded Functions Orthodontic Assistant. She has experience in assisting in all specialties of dentistry and enjoys patient interaction the most.
Outside of assisting, Valeria spends her time adventuring with her daughter Jenna. Finding happiness in music, she also likes to attend concerts often.
